This is not a comprehensive or authoritative grammar, but merely my personal notes from my own Catalan studies. However, I am trying/hoping to make it into a useful free online resource for others in the same situation, and am drawing on excellent sources, particularly:
Catalan: A Comprehensive Grammar
Max W. Wheeler, Alan Yates, Nicolaus Dols
Routledge, London, 1999
That book is strongly recommended for the full, gory details of Catalan grammar, and is very readable if you are somewhat linguistically oriented. It should be essential reading for all English-speaking students of Catalan.
I try to illustrate all points with examples, but as a non-native I don't dare to make the examples up myself (except in the most trivial cases). I have therefore looked for suitable examples in published material, particularly the daily newspaper Avui (http://www.avui.cat/) or the online news site Vilaweb (http://www.vilaweb.cat/).
I am still continuing my Catalan studies, so this is work in progress!
